Boxing is taught as a holistic fitness training program. There are no hits to the body or the head in any way. During training, you hit the punching bag or claws.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">What do I need to bring to training?<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nComfortable workout clothes and indoor sports shoes. Boxing gloves are available for use on site if needed. For reasons of hygiene, however, I recommend you to buy your own boxing gloves, which you can buy on site at a cost of CHF 90 (varies depending on the gloves). You need your own bandages for hygiene reasons and can be bought on site.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">I am not athletic. Can I still do boxing?<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nYes! Boxing is for everyone, regardless of the individual fitness level.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">I have physical complaints. Can I still participate?<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nYour health is important. If you have any concerns, feel free to contact me in advance and we can discuss this together.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">Is there an age restriction?<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nThe training is aimed at people aged 16 and above. At the moment I dont offer training for kids, but this is in the planning. Boxing can be practiced well into old age, as the movements are smooth and supple.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">I am a beginner.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nPersonal boxing lessons are aimed at people with and without boxing experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">Where does the training take place?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"fettrot\">Private lessons: The training room for private lessons is located at Els\u00e4sserstrasse 215, 4056 Basel. Use the side entrance at ELYS and take the elevator\/stairs to the 2nd floor. <a href=\"https:\/\/themovement.quest\/weg.html\">Here is<\/a> a link with directions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>6-\/8-week courses for beginners or intermediate: <span class=\"fettrot\">The training room for the 6-\/8-week courses is located either at Els\u00e4sserstrasse 215, 4056 Basel or at Dufourstrasse 11, 4052 Basel. To reach the location at the Dufourstrasse 11: Use the outside staircase to the right of the building. This will take you directly to the entrance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">Are there checkrooms, restrooms and shower facilities? <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Movement, Els\u00e4sserstrasse 215: It has checkrooms. The toilets are located on the ground floor of the building (past the elevator through the glass door). Shower facilities on request.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fettrot\">Art of Motion, Dufourstrasse 11: It has checkrooms and toilets. No shower facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">Are there parking facilities?<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nThe Movement, Els\u00e4sserstrasse 215: Yes, there is a paid parking lot with large parking spaces in the building.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fettrot\">Art of Motion, Dufourstrasse 11: There is paid parking nearby: Parking garage Kunstmuseum, Parking garage Drachenzenter<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong> <span class=\"fettrot\">Frequently asked questions: <\/span> <\/strong><strong> <span class=\"fettrot\">Mental training<\/span> <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">How long does a 1:1 session mental training take?<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nA single lesson usually lasts for about 60 minutes, sometimes 5-10 minutes longer. A mental coaching workshop in a group lasts for at least 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">How often should I come to mental coaching?<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nDepending on your individual goal, a short-term intervention (1-2 times) can be sufficient. To address a more complex issue, I recommend to plan sessions for a period of about 3-5 months. The number and frequency of sessions is individual, we will define this together.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">Where does the mental coaching take place?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Private lessons: These preferably take place physically on site. But I leave this up to you, of course online mental training via Zoom or Teams is also possible at any time.<\/li>\n<li>Lessons in groups on request: Vogesenplatz 1, 4056 Basel or in external premises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span class=\"fettrot\">Directions<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By car: During store opening hours you can park vis-\u00e0-vis at Voltacenter U1 (fee required).<\/li>\n<li>Public transport: Tram line 1 from SBB train station in the direction of Dreirosenbr\u00fccke, to the &#8220;Bahnhof St. Johann&#8221; stop.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>I am an athlete and have a coach. Is it still worth doing mental coaching?<\/strong><br \/>\nWhile your sports coach specializes in the technical execution of your sport, as a mental coach I work with your mental state and therefore independently of your sport. I support you in mental challenges.
